St. Paul’s United Church Receives Funding From Federal Government For Assisted Hearing Device Technology In Support of Those in Need

MILTON, Ontario — St. Paul’s United Church announced today that it has received a $5,170 grant through the Federal Government’s Canada Community Revitalization Fund (CCRF) to purchase and install assisted hearing device technology in the Community Building and historic Sanctuary for the benefit of those who have hearing difficulties.

The technology was recently installed and will benefit many of the more than 1,000 Miltonians who visit the Community Building and Sanctuary each week to participate in various community programs provided by the church and its many not-for-profit tenants.

“This Wi-Fi based technology will greatly assist those who are having hearing difficulties when attending various programs hosted by St. Paul’s and its many tenants who support the 1,000 Miltonians who walk through our doors each week, ” said John Challinor II, Chairman, Church Council, St. Paul’s United Church. “We are most thankful to Federal Economic Development Agency (Southern Ontario) Minister Filomena Tassi and her staff, in particular Eugene Poon and Nicole Brophy-Martin.”

“The investment announced today for the tourism sector and community infrastructure in the Golden Horseshoe will help to bring back visitors, modernize spaces and prepare for a strong future, ” said Filomena Tassi, Minister responsible for the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario. “With investments like the project made at St. Paul’s, our government is making smart investments that put people first and grow local economies that work for everyone.”
